On 5th February, 2026, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Ambassador HIGUCHI signed the contract with Mr Maclean Jilini, Principal of Buruku Adventist Primary School
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$ 106,604, which will support the construction of a classroom building to Buruku Adventist Primary School in Western Province. This assistance will provide an appropriate learning environment, which is expected to contribute to improve the quality of basic education in Ughele Village, where Buruku Adventist Primary School is located, as well as in the surrounding communities.
