On 5th February, 2026, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Ambassador HIGUCHI signed the contract with Ms Joylin Oli, representative of Bobolo Community.
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$ 43,333, which will provide a water supply system to Bobolo Community, Malaita Province. This assistance will provide the community with access to clean water and contribute to improvements in the living environment and public health.
