The Signing Ceremony for “The Project for the Construction of Classroom Building for Ghaobata Primary School in Guadalcanal Province” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme

On 21st November, 2025, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Ambassador HIGUCHI signed the contract with Ms Emillian Papasa, Head Mistress of Ghaobata Primary School. The Ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Health and Medical Services, Hon. Dr Paul Popora Bosawai, for whom this area is his own constituency.
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$80,679, which will support the completion of a classroom building and the installation of a rainwater supply tank to Ghaobata Primary School in Guadalcanal Province. This assistance will provide appropriate learning environment, contributing to an expected enhancement in the quality of basic education in Ghaobata Village and its surrounding communities.
