The 10th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM10) was held in Tokyo from 16th to 18th July.

The 10th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM10) was held from July 16th to 18th. The delegation of Solomon Islands was led by Hon. Jeremiah Manele, the Prime Minister. Hon. Peter Shannel Agovaka, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, and Hon. Paul Popora Bosawai, the Minister for Health and Medical Services, were the members of the delegation.
On the first day, 16th, there were a welcome party for the leaders of Pacific Islands countries, a network conference of PIF leaders and Japanese local government leaders, and a welcome reception hosted by the Chief Cabinet Secretary and his wife. On the 17th, there were a side event organized by JICA, an Economic Forum, a bilateral Summit Meeting between Solomon Islands and Japan, an event at Imperial House, a Meeting Banquet hosted by the Prime Minister and his wife, and on the final day, July 18th, the PALM10 Summit Meeting was held. From Solomon Islanders side, PM, Hon. Manele and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Agovaga participated in each event, and the Minister for Health and Medical Services, Hon. Bosawai also took part in some of the events accordingly.
In addition to this, on the final day, the signing ceremony for “the Project for improvement of Kilu’ufi hospital” was arranged, and the Minister for Health and Medical Services Hon. Bosawai signed the contract of the project in the presence of PM, Hon. Manele.
