The Signing Ceremony for “The Project for the Development of Water Supply System in Aitolo Community, Malaita Province” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme

On the 10th of November, 2023, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Ambassador Yoshiaki MIWA signed a contract with Mr. Laenal MAELIU, Community Representative, Aitolo Community.
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$30,005, which will provide a new water supply to Aitolo Community. This assistance will provide access to clean water for the people in Aitolo Community and improve living environment and public health.

Amount of Grant: US$ 30,005 (approximately 253,700 Solomon dollars)
Purpose: Installation of a new water supply system
