Handing Over Ceremony of “The Project for Construction of Classroom Building for St. John Dala South Primary School” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP)

On 8th of September, Ambassador Yoshiaki MIWA and Hon. Daniel SUIDANI, Premier of Malaita and school representative also attended the ceremony attended the handing over ceremony for “The Project for Construction of Classroom Building for St. John Dala South Primary School” in Dala Community, Central Kwara’ae, Malaita Province. The Government of Japan provided fund worth up to US$65,000 for the construction of classroom building for St. John Dala South Primary School. This assistance will enable the school to provide appropriate learning environment to students and it will contribute to the socio-economic development of Solomon Islands through giving children opportunities for quality education. Ambassador Miwa mentioned that“I believe that this funded infrastructure will one day produce potential leaders that will bring continuous positive change to this country. Japan will continue efforts in assistance for the education field to see more happy faces in many places of Solomon Islands and to cultivate cordial relationship between Japan and Solomon Islands” in his remarks. The Premier said in his remarks, “We are truly honored and proud to see the completion of this project. This is a huge achievement and milestone for our people of Malaita Province. I really appreciate generous support of Japan and I believe this building will be remembered as a symbol of the friendship between the two peoples of Japan and Solomon Islands for many years to come”.
