The Signing Ceremony for “The Project for Construction of Classroom Building for Vurango Primary and Community High School” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme

On 25th March, 2022, Grant Contract for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was made between the Embassy of Japan and Vurango Primary School. Mr. Norimasa Yoshida, Charge d'Affaires ad interim and Mr. Freeman Paezama Kuma, Principal, Vurango Primary School signed in different dates due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$88,448, which will provide a new classroom building to Vurango Primary School. This school has been unable to provide an appropriate educational environment due to the lack of reliable space. This assistance will enable the school to provide appropriate educational environment to students and contribute to the socio-economic development of Solomon Islands through giving students opportunities for quality education.
