On 18th March, 2022, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Mr. Norimasa Yoshida, Charge d'Affaires ad interim signed a contract with Mr. Rex Siofa’a, Chairman, Duruabu Rural Training Center.
 
The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$88,675, which will provide a new classroom building to Duruabu Rural Training Center. This assistance will enable the training center to provide effective technical and vocational education to the local youth and contribute to the socio-economic development of Solomon Islands through giving the local youth opportunities for quality employment.
